BOYNE, Yvonne

BOYNE, Yvonne Elizabeth - 93, formerly of Sudbury, Ontario, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 in Shannex - Orchard Court, Kentville, Nova Scotia. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Garvin) Lean. She was a homemaker and a devote Roman Catholic, being active with the Catholic Women's League at her church in Sudbury. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and donated many mittens to several charities. She is survived by three daughters, Marlene (Butch) Dufour, Aylesford; Colleen (Don) Peplinski, Centreville; Joanne (Bernie) LaRose, Grand Lake; three sisters, Beryl Keleher, Halifax; Angela Young and Eleanor Profit, both of Ontario; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore; two sisters, Mary Wallace and Bernie Landers; several infant brothers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the WHITE FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson officiating. A reception will follow in the reception room of the funeral home. Cremation will follow and a funeral mass and burial will take place at a later date in Sudbury. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Valley Hospice Foundation.
