BROUILLARD, Georges N - Born July 25th, 1937, 72 years, passed away peacefully at Hospice Village Sunday, May 1st, 2011 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his two daughters, Anne (Dany) Brousseau and Michelle (Gord) Fregin, as well as his five grandchildren Nicolas, Jérémie and Mathieu Brousseau, Nicole and Joey Fregin, who will miss their beloved pépère George dearly. Former spouse and friend to Suzanne Charbonneau. George is survived by 6 sisters Lucille (Réjean) Vaillancourt (Chelmsford, ON), Simone (Désiré) Gaudet (Chelmsford, ON), Jeanne (Raymond) Délorme (Fabre, QC), Laurette (Gérard) Gaudet (Chelmsford, ON), Yvette Savard (Lorrainville, QC), Lise McFadden (Ville-Marie, QC) and 1 brother Jacques (Carmen) Brouillard (Chelmsford, ON), and predeceased by two sisters Annette (Normand) Ménard and Thérèse (Armand) Manseau as well as his parents André Brouillard (1977) and Angéline (Désormeaux-1960). The family would like to express a most sincere acknowledgement to the wonderful staff and devoted volunteers at Hospice Village for their exceptional care and compassion for Dad. George retired from UA local 552 as a welder and upon his retirement bought a farm and became devoted to his precious pick your own strawberry farm in River Canard. He took great pride in his berries. He was also the founder and former owner of Walker Road Tree Service as well as Industrial Plant Systems where he taught many students the trade of welding. George devoted his life to raising his two daughters on his own and could be found at any given time carting them to the arena for hockey games and skating. He was also an excellent baseball coach in the 1980's and was referred to by his players as “Uncle George“. At George's request, there will be no visitation and no service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be held at a later date. (Funeral arrangements entrusted to JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME, Amherstburg (519-736-2134). The family requests that donations be made to Hospice Village in memory of George. Online condolences & cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.jhsutton-funeral.ca A tree will be planted in memory of Georges in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 25th, 2011. All are welcome.
