BROWN, Georgina - In Loving Memory of Georgina (nee Hunter) Brown, 89 years Peacefully Friday, February 17th, 2012 at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Sidney Kirby (1944) and Basil Brown (1975) both predeceased. Loving mother of Gloria Alexander (Larry predeceased) and Linda Brown predeceased 2003. Cherished grandmother of Sherry Kroes (husband Gerald), Wendy Alexander-Penny (husband Brian), Barry Alexander and great grandchildren Cory, Lance, Samantha, Alyssa, Danielle and Jeffrey and great great grandchild Ava. Dear daughter of Andrew and Mary (Osgood) Hunter predeceased. Dear sister of John Hunter (wife Rose) and Beatrice Walker (husband Arthur) both predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Georgina and her husband Basil were founding members of the former Community Living Association, actively advocating and supporting those with mental disabilities. She was an avid knitter and an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed her winters in Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated. At Georgina's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.
