BRUNET, Roland

November 11, 2011

BRUNET, Roland - The family announces with sorrow the death of Roland Brunet of Sudbury, who passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2011 at Maison Vale Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Josephine “Jose“ (nee Chevrette) Brunet (married 69 years and the love of his life). Loving father of Gilles (Beverly) of Sudbury, Dianne Bourre (late Raymond) of Sudbury, Ronald (Dawn) of Saint John NB., Colette Manfred (Jim) of Lively Germain & Gerald of Sudbury. Dear brother of Alma Chevrette (late Joseph) of Toronto, Laurette Trottier (late Come) of Blezard, Adrien (late Paulette) of Sudbuy, predeceased by Jeanne Leduc Ouelette (late Aime) Lucienne Menard (late Lucien), Angelina Deda Labre (late Roland). Predeceased by his parents Amedee and Rosina (Marier) Brunet. Cherished grandfather of Mathew, Paul, Dale, Joanne, Lynne, Norman, Mirage, Danny, Melissa, Adam, Brittany- Ashton, Kassandra and Brittany-Ann and great-grandfather of Justin, Darren, Tyler, Kailey, Ramsey, Madison, Danika, Zandria, Cedric and Jacob. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. What our Dad enjoyed most in life was his family get-togethers, playing cards (500 & Texas Holdem), eating (he made the best homemade beans in the world), gardening, (he loved his “patates“ and “tomates“), fishing, having a few brews and being surrounded by his wife and family. Trusting that there is a private lake nearby with good fishing and a garden of plenty where you are now Dad. Rolly's family was always the focus of his life. He offered his unconditional love and support to his family and dedicated his life to their well being. He was a simple, compassionate man with the highest degree of integrity. He had an infectious smile and laughter that lit up the room which will be remembered forever. In keeping with Rolly's wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Donations (by cheque only) to Maison Vale Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
