BRUNO, Salvatore (Sam) - In loving memory of Salvatore “Sam“ Bruno age 55 years. It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces his passing after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer on July 15th, 2010 at the Maison Vale Hospice. Beloved husband and soulmate of Cheryl (Powell) Bruno. Loving and devoted father of Christina Sooley (husband Matt), David and Christopher of Sudbury. Special stepfather of Trisha Moore (husband Jamie) of Sudbury, and Jody Third (husband Dave) of Garson. Loving son of Eugenio (predeceased 1999) and Rosina (Fiorino) Bruno of Sudbury. Cherished brother of Frank (wife Sandra) of Barrie, Mary Hopkin (husband Tom) of Sudbury, and Lori Bouchard (husband Don) of Hanmer. Cherished and much loved “Nonno“ of Emma, Ryan, Isabella, Hailey, Michael, Kaylee, Cori, Sydney and Tyler. Dear brother in law of John Powell (wife Ann predeceased). Sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Also missed by his canine friend Cheecho. Born in Sudbury and raised in Gatchell Sam""s priority in life was his loving family. He was employed by Sealy Canada in Sales and Marketing. Sam was a great advocate for bringing PET scan to Sudbury. Sam will be remembered for his extraordinary strength, character and courage. He was a giving and caring person who always put everyone before him. Sam always lived life to the fullest. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony""s Church 19 Mary St., Sudbury Monday, July 19th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery In lieu of flowers donations to the Sam Bruno PET Scanner Fund SRH would be appreciated.
