BUJNOWSKI, Stanislaw

September 1, 2020 70 years old

The family sadly announces the passing of Stanislaw "Stan" Bujnowski in Sudbury, on September 1, 2020, at the age of 70 after a courageous 13 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband of the late Diane Bordeleau, he is the son of the late Helena Bujnowska and Józef Bujnowski. He is survived by his daughters Nancy (Joe MacDonald) of Sudbury and Alicja Kosecka of Poland. He also leaves his grandson Shawn as well as his brother Jan Bujnowski predeceased (Krystyna), his sisters Teresa Filipiak (Zdzisław) and Jolanta Mółka (Ryszard). He will be sadly missed by his nieces Barbara Skałkowska, Lucyna Bujnowski and nephews Grzegorz Mółka (Magdalena) and Krysztof Bujnowski as well as his great nephew Bartłomiej Skałkowski. All of Poland. He will be lovingly remembered by his lifelong friends Roman Kramp and Merek Michalski as well as by all of his wife's family in Québec.

Stan immigrated from Gdansk, Poland in the late 1970's and traveled the world extensively while working on various fishing boats. He eventually made Vancouver, BC is home and met his sweetheart Diane. They made their way to Sudbury, ON in the 1980's where he was able to apply his skills as a machinist with Rainbow Concrete for over 30 years. He loved his job and enjoyed receiving his coworkers for chats in his very tidy shop, including his son-in-law Joe and Grandson Shawn who had the pleasure of working with him at Rainbow Concrete for a brief period. Stan was a simple man who enjoyed the quieter things in life like fishing, backyard fires, watching his favorite game shows Wheel of Fortune & Family Feud and spending time with his family here in Canada & in Poland. He loved retirement and doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. We will certainly miss his sense of humor, his laugh, his beautiful blue eyes as well as sitting with him on his front porch while he captivated us with his endless stories of his world travels.  May you rest in peace Stanley, it will be hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember.

At this time, the family would also like to thank Dr. Patel & Tammy, all the doctors & nurses working on the 4th floor North Tower as well as everyone at the Northern Cancer Center for their compassion and care during Stan's illness.
