BULAT, Milka (nee Bulat) - In Loving Memory of Milka (nee Bulat) Bulat, 92 years, Monday, December 24th, 2012 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Milka Bulat, on Monday, December 24th 2012, at the age of 92 and just shy of her 93rd year. Loving wife of George (predeceased 1976) and cherished mother of Melina and George. Dear sister of Ljubica Trebotic of Croatia, many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States, Croatia, Australia and New Zealand. Predeceased by her parents Mate and Jele and siblings Nevenka, Steve, Mare, Nede, Ljubomir, Iko and Matilda. Milka was born in Zaostrog, on the Dalmatian coast, and arrived in Canada in 1956. A life-long member of Sudbury's West End community, she belonged to the parish of Sveti Marko as well as that of St. Clements, having been a member of the CWL. She was also an active member of the Croatian Fraternal Union. Milka was a truly remarkable woman and friend to all who she met. She was generous, full of laughter, wise and always ready. She enjoyed working in her garden and cooking and, in earlier days, making annual trips to Acapulco. As much friend as loving mother to her children, she will be missed. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. (Friends may call 2- 5; 7-9pm Thursday with parish prayers at 7:30pm.) Funeral Mass in Sveti Marko Croatian Catholic Church, Pine St. at Alder St., Sudbury, Friday, December 28th, 2012 at 10am. Interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery, Sudbury.
