BURGESS, Milton Thomas - passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the age of 81 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen, and his six children, Judy (Gordon), Shari (friend Bob), Dale (Janet), Randy (Betty), Kim (Gary) and Melissa (Fred). Very special Papa to 13 grandchildren, Karen (Sean), Heather, Stewart (Erin), Kellie (friend Darren), Adam (Annick), John (Susan), Tina, Amy (Mike), Doug (Jenny), Ashley (Mike), Simon, Billy and Cole. Great Papa to 9 great grandchildren, Taylor, Kenny, Landen, Luke, Payton, Ainsley, Zoey, Bryn and Ryan. Dear brother of Bud, Minnie, Lew (predeceased), Phyllis, Patricia (predeceased), Ken (predeceased) and Judy. Uncle Milt to countless and dearly remembered by Marie Burgess. Born in Nova Scotia, Milt made his home in Sudbury in 1953. Milt was a local business owner and supported many hockey teams and community events. Milt always had a story to tell and a soft spot for those who needed a helping hand. The family wishes a sincere thank you to the 6th floor nursing staff. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. The family will receive friends and relatives at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, on Friday, May 11th, 2012 from 7pm-9pm. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at 11:30am. Cremation in the Park Lawn Crematorium.
