With profound sadness and heavy hearts, the family announces the sudden passing of Misty Burton on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 at the age of 48.
She is the loving daughter of Nelson (predeceased) and Jacqueline Burton of Sudbury. Cherished mother of Jaden (Cherokii Jacko), Summer and Dante (Lauren Templeton). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Ava and Atlas, her siblings Cylina and Nelson and nephews Preston and Maddox. Misty will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature.
She loved to laugh and had a quick wit. She loved her Indigenous clothing, artwork, and traditions and was at most peace in her alone time with nature. Her family always came first and was at her best when surrounded by them especially when singing and dancing with her grandchildren.
A gathering will be held at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Monday, August 21st, from 3-6pm with words of remembrance at 4:30pm. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
