June 21, 2010 79

CACCIOTTI, Renato - June 26, 1930 – June 18, 2010 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our cherished husband, father and nonno, Renato Cacciotti; one week shy of his eightieth birthday. Beloved husband for 54 years to Maria “Concetta“ (née Ricci) and loving father to three children: Robert, Christina (David D'Angelo) and Dan (Janet). He was adored by his six grandchildren: Katie and Chelsea Cacciotti; Alanna and Shannon D'Angelo and Cassandra and Benjamin Cacciotti. He was brother to the late: Leonina (Eduoardo Campagna) of Australia, Raffaele (Wanda) and Angela Pagani (Giulio Pagani, deceased)(Mario DeGiovanni). He is survived by his sister Marisa (Franco Biagioni) of Ottawa. He is lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Ada Ricci (Otello Giuliani, deceased) and his brother-in-law, Father Ettore Ricci, both of Italy. He will be missed by many friends from Manitoulin Island, the West End, and Italy. A handsome, youthful man, Renato was born in 1930 to Natale and Agostina Cacciotti in Carpineto, Romano, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1950, continuing to embrace his Italian heritage by skillfully producing excellent wine and sausage yearly. He was a proud lifetime member of the Caruso Club. Having 37 years of service with INCO, upon retiring, Renato took pleasure in his beautiful garden to which he tended with great care, creating much- admired roses and bountiful vegetables which he happily shared. He enjoyed many family gathering and time spent with friends at his cottage on the Island. Surprisingly, he embraced today's technology by Facebooking and Skyping with family and friends across the world. He has truly left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and he will be sorely missed.
