December 20, 1925- February 9, 2024
We are so saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, mother-in law, grandmother, and great grandmother on February 9, 2024, at the age of 98 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre in Sudbury, Ontario.
Born in Carpi, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on December 20, 1925, Leda was the fourth of 8 children (all predeceased). She was the daughter of Domenico and Carolina (Morselli) Cantarelli (predeceased).
Leda is survived by her husband, Lino Corradini. They were married on August 15, 1953, and were fortunate enough to have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary while still living semi-independently in their family home.
Leda had an agile and curious mind, a strong will, and a lot of ‘spunk’. She liked playing cards and had a passion for gardening. She loved to prepare delicious Italian specialties for her family and did so for birthdays and family gatherings well into her nineties. She generously shared her recipes with all who wanted to learn and was especially proud that her children and grandchildren learned to make some of their favorites.
Leda was a devoted and caring wife and mother to four children: daughter, Patricia (David), grandchildren Kevin (Sarah) and Scott; daughter, Angela, granddaughter Julia (Joe); son, Albert (Judi), grandchildren Paula (Blake), Andrew (Mercedes); daughter, Cristina; and great grandchildren Claire, Luke, Owen, and Oliver.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at St. Joe’s, not only for the excellent medical care that Leda received but also for the kindness and thoughtfulness that they showed toward both our parents and our family these past few months. A special thank you to Sylvie. Your patience, understanding, and unconditional love was greatly appreciated.

A private family memorial service will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Ontario, P3B 1M2.
