It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joanne (Jo) Cardinal (Kubisewsky) announced her passing on August 16/2021 at the age of 64. Loving wife and best friend of Marc Cardinal of Sudbury and the daughter of the late Rita Bellmore and Peter Kubisewsky. Step mother Gertrude Burnett, Step father Burton Burnett. Loving and cherished sister of MK Burnett Punkari (Tom), Nancy Bellmore (Betty Ann McPherson). Allen Burnet, Rachelle Gervais and Robert Wilson (predeceased). Special aunt had a positive outlook on life. She was a real fighter and fought to the very end. Heaven has gained an angel.
Jo was filled with life, love and laughter and was a devoted wife to Marc and her dog Wilo. She loved gardening, crafts, cooking, photography and enjoyed a cold beer. Jo enjoyed socializing with her many friends and neighbours on Dill Lake. Jo was always the life of the party, she enjoyed pontoon boat rides on the lake with Marc and Wilo.
Jo was so proud to donate he hair yearly to the Can ce Centre knowing it was for a special cause.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. G. and the staff at the Northeastern Cancer Centre for their care and compassion.
Special thanks to nurse Erica and PSW Teresa of Bayshore who demonstrated excellent care, compassion and friendship which the family is grateful for.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Park Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium.
