CARMICHAEL, Beryl “Bud“ - In Loving Memory of Beryl “Bud“ Carmichael 74 years. Peacefully Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at the Pioneer Manor, Sudbury with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Joan (Tessaro) Carmichael. Loving father of Kimberly Kanerva and Robert Carmichael predeceased 1975. Cherished Poppa of Kerri (Michael Clarke) and Kevin (Summer Brooks) and great grandson Chase. Dear son of Beryl and Irene (O'Neil) Carmichael Sr. predeceased and stepmother Vera predeceased. Dear brother of Gordon Carmichael (Shirley) both predeceased and Muriel Keeping (husband Maurice predeceased). Special son-in-law of Fulvio and Matilda Tessaro predeceased. Dear brother-in-law to Richard Tessaro (Donna), Allan Tessaro (Brenda). Dear uncle to Jody (Shirley), Trina (Jimmy), Tracey (Anthony), Kristi (Neal), Natalie (Warren), Deborah, Shawn (Caroleen), Buddy and lovingly remembered by great nieces and nephews. Born in Sudbury, Bud married his soul mate and the love of his life, Joan (Tessaro) in 1958 in Copper Cliff. Bud worked at INCO, retiring in 1991 with 33 years service as a warehousing purchaser. A devout Roman Catholic, he attended St. Stanislaus Church. He was a proud member of the Copper Cliff Italian Club where he enjoyed the friendship and camaraderie of its members, especially playing cards, bowling, and bocce. He enjoyed golfing, swimming, doing puzzles and passionately supporting the Montreal Canadiens. The priority of his life was his family, especially his grandchildren, in whom he took great pride and interest in their activities and accomplishments. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. (Friends may call 2-8pm Monday with parish prayers 4pm Monday). Funeral Mass in St. Stanislaus Church, Copper Cliff. Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 at 10am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society (Sudbury Chapter) or NCF Sam Bruno PET Scanner Fund would be appreciated.
