CARPENTIER, Gerald - In Loving Memory of Gerald Carpentier 76 years who passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2013 at Extendicare York, Sudbury. He was born June 9th, 1936 in Blue Sea Lake, Quebec and married Madelyn (Lacroix) in Timmins. He was a Jack of all trades, working many years in Timmins as a miner at the Hollinger, Canada Glass, Star Taxi, security guard, waiter and as a construction worker. Father of Guy, Gilles (predeceased), Michelle Roy and Mona Lisa Lachance. Son of Xavier and Eva (Courchesne) Carpentier (both predeceased). Grandfather to Kevin, Sylvain and Megan Roy, Steven and Ryan Lapointe of Sudbury, Justin Morin Carpentier of Elliot Lake and great grandfather to 3 great granddaughters. Survived by his brothers Hervé (Simone) of Blue Sea Water, PQ, Huguette St.Jacques of Gracefield PQ, and Germain of Gatineau. He leaves many nephews, nieces and friends whose lives he touched with his jokes and teasing. Visitation at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Thursday April 11th 2013 at 4 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
