CARPINO, Fernando - In loving memory of Fernando Carpino 76 years Peacefully Monday, August 13th, 2012 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Giovanna (Carbone) Carpino. Loving father of Roberto (KellyAnn), Gianni (Vicky), Luisa and Cathy (Antonio Rocca). Cherished Nonno of Emilia, Nicholas, Jacob, Vanessa, Noah and Chiara. Dear son of Giuseppe and Erminia (Lavorato) Carpino predeceased. Dear brother of Frank predeceased (Gilda), Tony (Rose) and Caterina Nocita predeceased (Carmelo). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families. Born in Piane Crati, Cosenza, Italy, Fernando came to Canada in 1956. He married Giovanna (Carbone) in 1963 at Holy Trinity Church. He was a devout Roman Catholic, faithfully attending mass and he was a longtime and well-respected Holy Trinity Men's Club member. He owned and operated Fern's Barber Shop for over 10 years and then worked for the Regional Municipality of Sudbury for over 25 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing, making wine and gardening. He was an avid outdoorsman. Fernando will be remembered as a very kind person who was quick to help others. He was devoted to his family. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Resting at the JACKSON and BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Church 426 Burton Ave, Sudbury Friday, August 17th, 2012 at 10am. Entombment in the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum. Prayers 7:30pm Thursday.
