CARRIERE, Laura (nee Ross) - In loving memory of Laura (nee Ross) Carriere, 83 years, Who passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21st, 2011. Surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Ozzie. Loving mother of Gary (Lois) of Markstay, Wayne (Gisele) of Sudbury and Darlene (Gill) Courville of Hanmer. Cherished grandmother of Karry-Lynn, Michael, Les, Lisa, Tyler, Ryan, Chad and Darren. Very loved by many great-grandchildren. Daughter of Valentin and Alexina Ross both predeceased. Dear sister of Larry (Edie) of Abbotsford, BC. Predeceased by brothers Val, Maurice, Clarence and sisters Marg Venne, Alice Hortness, Yvonne Penny and Viola Kennedy. Laura will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Laura worked for many years at Woolworth's. She had a lifelong love of bowling and golf. She enjoyed her winter trips to Florida and Texas. She loved to spend time with her loved ones, and she looked forward to any occasion that brought the family together. Special thanks to the medical staff on the 5th Floor of the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Memorial Service and Celebration of Life in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 at 11:30am. Cremation with interment in the family plot. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. (Friends may gather after 11am Wednesday).
