December 28, 1953 – February 23, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Denise Esther Casera, who left this world on February 23, 2024, at the Sudbury Regional Health Sciences Centre. She was 70 years old.
Denise was born in Azilda, Ontario, and was the beloved daughter of Elsa and Gino Casera (pre-deceased). She was also preceded in death by her dear brother, Mario Casera. Denise leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories cherished by her surviving family: her dear son Steven Richard and grandson Joshua Denault of Sudbury. Her brother Frank Casera (Jennifer) of Barrie. Her nephews Jack Casera and Shawn Casera (Stephanie). Her nieces Brittany Spadafore (Morgan), Stephanie Spadafore (Joey) and her great nephew Alton. Denise's love also extended beyond blood ties, and the family would like to thank her dear friend Luanne O’Bumsawin-Brezenski for all her love, support and friendship.
Denise was known for her passionate and proud nature, as well as her unwavering care and generosity towards those she loved. Her devotion knew no bounds, whether it was towards her family, friends, or her beloved 7-year-old Chihuahua, Cookie. Her emotions were never hidden, and her heart overflowed with love, loyalty, unwavering convictions with every fiber of her being. If there was anyone who you would want in your corner it surely was Denise.
In honouring Denise's final wishes, there will be no formal ceremony. Instead, she preferred to be quietly laid to rest beside her dear brother Mario in Parklawn Cemetery in Sudbury. Though Denise may have bid farewell to this earthly realm, her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who were touched by her love and grace.
Rest in peace, dear Denise. Your spirit will live on in the countless lives you have touched, and your legacy of love will endure for eternity.
