CASTELLANI, Maria (nee Zanet) - January 18, 1929 - December 22, 2012 - It is with a sad heart we announce the death of our beloved mother. Maria passed away at Health Sciences North with her family by her side. Loving wife of Bruno (predeceased). Beloved mother of Beppina, Sudbury; Agnes (predeceased); Loretta (Gary van Rassel), Oakville; and Frank, Abbotsford, BC. Proud Nonna of Lauren, Jordan, Evan and Kiera. Daughter of Giovanni and Emilia (Pucchio) Zanet, both predeceased. Sister and sister-in-law of Ercolina and Bruno Belluz, Codriopo, Italy (both predeceased); Aldechi and Silvana Zanet of Codriopo, Italy; Anna and Vicenzo Petrosino, Baltimore, USA; Bruna and late Giuseppe Chiesa, Sudbury; Edda and Guerino, Toronto (both predeceased), Franca and Giuseppe Piuzzi, Azilda. Sadly missed by cousins, nephews and nieces in Canada, Italy and the United States. Maria was devoted to her family, especially her precious grandchildren, in whose activities and accomplishments she took great pride and interest. A great cook, she was happiest hosting and preparing dinner for her family. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Dr. de Blacam, Dr. Goluch, compassionate and caring staff of 5th Floor, South Tower, especially Regan, Patty, Lynn, and 9th Floor Dialysis, especially Sue. Special thanks to Caroline Denomme, ACE nurse, and Lynn Constantine. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, (Friends may call after 9:30am Thursday). Funeral Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Rd., Sudbury, Thursday, December 27th, 2012 at 12 noon. Entombment in the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum.
