1943 - 2023
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Marilyn (Toppazzini) Cecchetto on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Marilyn was born in Sudbury in 1943 to June (Brisebois) and Bruce Toppazzini both predeceased. She was the beloved wife of Robert Cecchetto (predeceased) who she met at 14 years old at the Toppazzini Bakery where Marilyn resided and Robert was employed. Loving mother of Paul of Sudbury, Shelley (Nicki) of Tay Valley, Paula (Steve) of Ottawa, Bruce (Sylvie) of Val Caron and Ernesto (Tammy) of Ottawa. Cherished Noni of Whitley, Tristan, Dallas, Cassidy, Cooper, Hope, Evangelina, Sadie, Cruz, Brittany.
Marilyn is also survived by her dear brother Ron Toppazzini and wife Jeannine. She will be dearly missed by her loving sister & brother in laws & spouses, niece, nephews, cousins and friends. Marilyn worked at Toppers Pizza from 1983 to 2003 and raised her family in Azilda. She led by example and taught so many the importance of unconditional love, family, kindness and strength.
Mom’s Advice
Go with the flow, accept what is happening and learn from it. Don’t fight it, you fix what you can fix and if you can’t then you walk away. Never never be judgemental of where your children are in life.
Cremation Services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northeast Cancer Centre and the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre.

Celebration of life will be held at Bryston's-On-the-Park in Copper Cliff on Friday, December 29th, 2023 from 2pm -4pm and 6pm to 8 pm.
