Obviously, if you are reading this, I am gone!

I was born; I blinked; and it was over! I always knew it would happen one day, but at least it was by my choice…well, kinda (darn interstitial lung disease). So, on the subject of life, on December 1, 1937, my parents and brother celebrated my

birth and to all I was known as Loretta Jeannette Dufort, daughter to Emile and Alberta Dufort and sister to Robert Dufort (Lynne). I married the man of my dreams (tall, dark, and handsome) on April 30, 1955, and from

that day forward, I was proud to be known as Mrs. Leonard Blackwell (predeceased). By the glory of God, I gave birth to four beautiful miracles: Richard Blackwell (JoAnne), Brian Blackwell (predeceased), Carol Blackwell Tyson (Tom) and Paul Blackwell (Jennifer). Seeing these four grow into who they were supposed to be brought a wonderful sense of meaning to our lives. Just when I thought I was too old to fall in love again, I became a grandma, and my six

grand-angels stole my heart: Lindie Blackwell, Danielle Ethier (Jon), Renee Gendron-Mercier (Rene), Scott Blackwell (Kennedy Bardell), Kaitlin Blackwell and Darren Blackwell. And the cherry on top are my four great-grandchildren: Hayden Ethier, Madison Ethier, Scarlet Mercier, and Lauren Blackwell. In this life, I had a chance to know and love many friends, as well as family members. How much more blessed can a person be. So, in the end, remember to always do your best and make something amazing out of your life. Never stop smiling! Today, I am probably dancing with my Lenny to our song "Remember When". Love you forever.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at the Lion’s Club, Hanmer on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 12-4pm. Casual dress attire.
