CERUTTI, David Charles - In loving memory of David Charles Cerutti 68 years. Suddenly, Monday, April 25th, 2011 at Huntsville, Ontario Beloved husband of Gwen (nee Adams) Cerutti of Sudbury. Will be forever in the hearts of his daughters Christina (husband Gregory Spangler) and Stephanie (partner Erik Hellsten) both of Toronto. Special grandfather of Sophie and Cara. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Margaret (nee Kovac) Cerutti. Dear brother of Roger Cerutti (wife Catherine) of Sudbury. David was a special brother-in-law to Connie and Howard Fletcher, Judy and John Hutton, Joan and Rob Treling, Les and Linda Collins, Mike and Ida Collins and their families. David was born and raised in Sudbury and married Gwen (Adams) in Ottawa in 1972. He retired from a long career where he worked as a game warden and later as a forestry technician for the Ministry of Natural Resources. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved nature and lived a simple life with little need for material possessions. There was a nurturing quality to him; often, he would care and nurse small wounded animals back to health and he enjoyed his canine friends as much as they enjoyed his company. A family man who devoted himself to his wife and daughters and a dedicated father who was always involved and there for his daughters spending countless hours driving them to music lessons, supporting their dreams and taking much pride in their accomplishments. Gifted with patience for small children, he gladly stayed up all night caring for his newborn granddaughters. Regardless of the task, David was a hard worker and did his job well with attention to detail often being teased by his family for being a perfectionist. Happiest in quiet times, he loved long walks at his cottage accompanied by his dog Oliver and could often be found quietly reading his magazines. His generous nature and helping hands will surely be missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St. (at Hazel St.) Sudbury Thursday, April 28th, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury.
