CHARETTE, Roger - With heavy hearts the family announces the death of Mr. Roger Charette at the age of 88 years. Mr. Charette passed away following a long illness surrounded by Family Thursday April 25, 2013 at the Vale Inco Hospice - Sudbury. Son of the late John Charette and the late Rose Dube. He lived all of his life in Sudbury with Therese, his bride of 65 years. Mr. Charette was a Carpenter by trade, spending the last 10 years of his career as a Representative for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local 2486, before retiring in 1987. He was proud to be a 64 year Honourary Member of the UBC Local 2486. Predeceased by his parents and by his siblings Lorrain (Huguette) Charette, Anita (William) Morrow, Hector (Laurette) Charette, Wilfrid (Gwen) Charette, Arthur Charette, Liliane (Gerard) Boulet, Victor (Ann) Charette, baby brother Robert Charette and infant brother and sister. Left to mourn are his loving wife of 65 years: Therese Charette of Sudbury; His loving children: Marcel (Sandra) Charette of Edmonton Alberta, Claire (Richard) Gibb of Azilda and Nicole Charette of Sudbury. Fondly remembered by grandchildren: Olivia (Jonathan Fisher) Gibb and Julie Gibb.Also left to mourn are his siblings: Gerard Charette and Jeannine (late Bill) Iredale; and sister-in-law Gwen Charette. There will be no viewing or memorial as per Mr. Charette's wishes. Memorial Contributions (by cheque only) to the Vale Inco Hospice - Sudbury and the Northern Cancer Research Foundation – Sudbury will be accepted by the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME.
