CHAUVIN, Gaëtan - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Son of the late David and Anna (née Dentremont) Chauvin. Beloved husband of Jeannine Chauvin (née Duhaime) of Sudbury and of the late Gracia Chauvin (née Nadon). Loving father of Claude Chauvin (Yvette) of Manitoulin Island, Normand Chauvin (Nicole) of Azilda, Germain Chauvin (Joyce Palhnuck) of Kanata, Monique Serré (Denis) and Lise Collins both of Cambridge and Marcel Chauvin (Debbie Gordon) of St. Thomas and step-father of Joanne Poulin (George Darling) of Sudbury and Jennifer Lynn (Michael) McCracken of Bolton. Dear brother of Alma Chauvin of Sudbury and Léo Chauvin (Adrienne) of Blind River. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Hector, Aimé, Gérald, Ella, Théona, Gaëtanne, Léona and Anna-May. Sadly missed by his 18 grandchildren and his 2 great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre- Dame), Sudbury, Friday, February 18, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-8 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury.
