CHIASSON, Irene (née Tessier) - It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Daughter of the late Xavier and of the late Elizabethe (née Pauzé) Tessier. Wife of the late Jim Laronde and of Gilbert Chiasson. Loving mother of Claude Laronde (Doris) of Kitchener and Eveline Brunet (Jack Boyd) of Sudbury. Predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters from Quebec and Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Mathieu, Carole, Christine, Alain, Roger and great-grandmother of Eric, Alex, Justin, Noah, Lyla, Kali, Ethan and Nicholas. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wish to give special thanks to the staff of Finlandia Koti for their compassion and care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Cooperative Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Inner City Home would be greatly appreciated.
