CHOLEWA, Peter - In loving memory of Peter Cholewa, 51 years. Peacefully Thursday, February 16th, 2012 at Health Sciences North after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved son of Mary Cholewa and the late Mike Cholewa predeceased 1985. Loving brother of Dorothy Smet (Ralph Lamacraft). Cherished uncle of Michaela and Joshua. Sadly missed by relatives in Boston and Poland. Peter worked at the Canadian Tire on Barrydowne Road for several years. He was an active member of the local Polish Community belonging to the Polish Club and sang in the church choir at St. Casimirs. He enjoyed camping and playing Santa for Christmas parties at the church and Canadian Tire. Peter will be remembered as a well liked and easy going person who will be missed by his loving family and friends. The family expresses their appreciation to Dr. P. Cano, Dr. J. Snider, Dr. M. Aniol and the staff on the 4th Floor Palliative Unit and the Regional Cancer Program for their excellent care. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Casimir's Church, 210 Paris St., Sudbury, Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated. Funeral prayers at 7:30 p.m. Friday. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 p.m. Friday).
