CHOUINARD, Normand - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Thomas and the late Yvonne Eva (née Leblanc) Chouinard. Husband of the late Aline Chouinard (née Castilloux). Beloved father of François (Claudette) of Timmins, Denise of Sudbury, Paul-Émile (Sue) of Calgary, Marc (Josée) of Plantagenet and Valmont of Chelmsford. Dear brother of Tommy (Germaine) of Montreal and Paul (Theresa) of Gatineau. Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Ted (Marguerite) of Sultan, Raymond (Cécile) of Chelmsford, Noëlla Wafer of Sudbury, Simonne Duguay of Montreal, Hélène Gosselin (Roger) and Paulette Guy (Gérald) both of Chelmsford. Predeceased by his sister Gertrude and his brother Ernest. Cherished grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of four. Lovingly remembered by many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Normand will be remembered for having been an avid hunter and fisherman with many tales to share. The family expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Meadowbrook Village. In keeping with Normand's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St-Joseph's Church, Chelmsford. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Chelmsford. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
