CONTOIS, Hector - It is with great sorrow that the family announces his death in Sudbury Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Aline Contois (née Guy) of Sudbury. Loving father of Claudette Longpré (late Donald), Claire McLaughlin (Jeff), Gerald Contois (Louise), Carole McLaughlin (Denis) all of Sudbury and Daniel Contois (Henry) of Rockland. Dear brother of Thérèse Lachapelle (Joseph) and Florand Contois (Germaine) both of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Marie Doyon (late Henri), Irène Lachapelle (late Raymond), Wilfred Contois (late Marguerite), Marcel Contois (Cécile of Rockland) and Diane Therrien (late Henri). Dear grandfather of Michael, Richard, Alain, Tracy, Tammy, Jeffrey-Chad, Mandy, Melissa, Ashley, Dayna, Steven and Keesha. Survived by 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great- grandchildren and predeceased by 1 great- granddaughter. The family will received relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 11 to 2 and 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Cooperative Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
