COONEY, Melvin and Patricia

COONEY, Melvin Thomas and Patricia Ann (née Taylor) - Melvin and Patricia lived life to the fullest and they both fought a courageous battle against cancer. Both passed away peacefully at Maison Vale Hospice; Patricia November 2, 2010 at the age of 73 years and Melvin December 10, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Melvin is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Delia Cooney and his brother Meldrum (late Beulah). Loving brother of Iona Petersen (late Nels) and Patricia MacMillan (late Myrle). Patricia is predeceased by her parents James & Mary Taylor and her sister Beth. Loving mother of Mary of Orillia, Laurie (Mike) of Vernon B.C., Teresa (Gordon) of Calgary, Janet (Mike) of Edmonton and Angela (Keith) of Calgary. Dear sister of Donna and Jane. Sadly missed by all her grandchildren. Melvin and Patricia will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. They will also be missed by many friends, including Brian and Jim. The family expresses its appreciation to Maison Sudbury Hospice staff for the compassionate care given to both Melvin and Patricia. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 3-4 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to Maison Sudbury Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
