In loving memory of Pina Cooney nee Doyle, who passed away peacefully with family members by her side February 27th, 2024, at the age of 90.
Loving wife of Orville Cooney, predeceased, and loving partner of Edwin Irvine, predeceased. Loving stepmom and Mom to Pat Cooney (Rachel), Barbara Doyle (Leslie Sr.), Orval Cooney, predeceased (Gisele), Ron Cooney, predeceased, Paulette Cooney, Terry Sabourin, predeceased (Denis), Dan Cooney (Kathie), Dorothy Heinrichs (Hugo), Karen Van Embden (Bob), and Tom Cooney, who was Pina’s sidekick. Many great-great grandchildren, great-grandchildren, grandchildren and her pet dog, Candi. A heartfelt thank you to her brother Joe and daughter Terry for all the support they gave Pina.
Pina loved music, especially Patsy Cline whose songs were sung by Pina and Orville in their band, along with all genres of her time. A beautiful voice that will never be forgotten. So strong and powerful right to the end. Self proclaimed, “one tuff bitch”. She always said, “If you don’t take care of yourself, no one else will”. In our hearts forever.
Celebration of life for Pina will be announced.
