In loving memory of Elena Costanzo (nee Massimiliano).

Early Tuesday morning, July 5th, 2023 our beloved Mom and Nonna passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North surrounded by her three daughters.

Elena was born in Laurignano, Cosenza, Italy June 26th, 1949. Beloved wife of Orlando Costanzo predeceased in 2009, her soulmate for life. Loving mother of Pina, Sandra (husband Danny Mastrocola), and Nadia. Adoring Nonna to Lily her “Gioia di Nonna”. Dear daughter of Saveria and Carmine Massimiliano (nee Aiello) both predeceased. Dear sister of Antonio (Assunta), Elio (Giuliana), and Teresa Principe predeceased and sister-in-law of Vincenzo (Maria) Costanzo both predeceased from Brazil, Francesco (Rosetta) both predeceased, Maria (Fortunato Alessio predeceased), and Alfredo (Anna predeceased) all of Italy. Dearly missed by nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Special friend to Concettina Natale who has been a constant presence through all the good and bad times.

Elena was a warm, kind hearted, gentle soul with a beautiful smile, who never spoke unkindly of others. To have known her was a true blessing. She loved every minute of being a Mom and Nonna. She expressed her love in so many special ways, but the most important for her was through her cooking and baking (a delicious freshly made tarallo to dip in your cup of espresso). She was in the words of her granddaughter Lily “our everything” and somehow, we will continue through this crazy life knowing undoubtedly that she is already with our Dad sharing so many stories about his granddaughter, his daughters, friends and extended family.  We love you “mommy” and we miss you so much.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
