COX, Ken - In Loving Memory of Mr. Ken P. Cox 1946 - 2010 It is with great sorrow that his family announce his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on October 7th, 2010 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Monique Cox (nee Mercier) of Sudbury. Loving father of Krista (Danny) Simpson of Keswick and Stephanie (Sonia) Cox of London. Cherished grandfather of Heather McAuliffe-Simpson and Cody Simpson. Dear son of Kay and the late Pat Cox of Cochrane. Dear brother of Joan (Richard) Joakkola, Lorraine (the late Duncan) McCunn, Don (the late Rose) Cox, Marlene (Gilles) Girard and Debbie (Hugh) Currie. Godfather to Pamela (Currie) Hicks and to Taylon Rossi. He will also be missed by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, great great nephews and nieces as well as by many other relatives and friends. Ken was a Foreman with Inco for over 40 years. Ken was a true definition of a family man. His passion was being out on the water fishing, in the bush hunting or sitting on his favorite chair listening to his music. He devoted many years to the Sudbury Ringette Association as a valuable coach. He was happiest when surrounded by his friends and family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family will receive relatives and friends at SALONS FUNÉRAIRE IRVINE & IRVINE FUNERAL HOMES, 149 Third Street West, Cochrane on Wednesday, October 13th, 2010 from 2 to 4 PM and from 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 14th, 2010 at 11 am at Knox Presbyterian Church, 301, 6th Avenue, Cochrane, followed by burial at Birchill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.
