Beloved husband of 60 years to Civita Cristo (nee Vitello). Loving father to Mary Aprea and Gennaro Cristo (wife Marisa predeceased) all of Sudbury. Cherished Nonno of Andy Aprea (wife Stephanie), Lori Madigan (husband Jim), Jonathan Cristo (wife Mandy) of London, Jennifer Crepeault (husband Dan), Stephanie Cristo, (Serge), Samantha Cristo (Mat). Great grandfather to Logan, Keaton, Aidan, Matea, Rheanna, Benjamin, Evelyn, Brayden, Stephen and Jackson. Born in Ponza Italy in 1926, he was the sixth out of seven children, son of Luigi and Civita (Mazalla) Cristo. He worked as a process operator with I.N.C.O retiring in 1984 after 23 years of service. Damiano enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing with Civita and raising rabbits. He enjoyed a good game of cards and was known for tearing up the dance floor. A true gardener he leaves a rich legacy of a very kind and hard working man who always provided for his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church 39 Walford Road, Sudbury Tuesday, April 26th, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Entombment in the Parklawn Mausoleum.
