Crockford, Florence (née) Feasey 1929-2022

The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Florence Irene Crockford in her 92nd year on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.  Daughter of the late William and the late Velma Feasey. Beloved wife of the late Elwood Crockford.   Loving mother of June (Phil), Roger (Cathy - predeceased) (Benita), Shari (Dave), Gail, Patricia (Kelly) and Marc.  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Shannon (Ashleigh), Cindy, Adam (Sally), Jill (Kim), Jenn (Justin), Michael, Melanie (Guy), Shane (Mandi), Anne (Cody), Sarah (Josh), Greg (Sarah). Great-grandmother of Caleigh (Dylan), Jacob, Wyatt, Taylor, Mason, Eastyn, Jessica, Lyera, Aubrey, Colt, Isaac, Abigail, Hart (predeceased).  Predeceased by her brother Ralph.  Special sister- in- law to Bessie, Helen and Sylvia and aunt to their families.

Florence retired after 25 years from Sudbury General Hospital in the Dietary Department.
Known as “Mrs. C” she was well respected by her work family.  She was often considered their personal social worker as she was always there to listen and offer advice when needed.  She was a very generous woman who gave selflessly to others and never put herself first.  She did not ask questions but would help in any way she could.

We would like to extend our thanks to Karen and staff from Maison McCulloch Hospice and the staff at Bayshore Nursing, particularly Jenna, Jennifer, Kim, and Julianna for their excellent care.

Mom was under the Community Hospice Palliative Care Program longer than initially expected and these ladies supported and guided the family in our mother’s care.  It is because of this care and compassion that mom was able to live out her final days in the family home that our father built.

At Florence’s request there will be no funeral visitation or service.  Memorial donations can be made directly to Maison McCulloch Hospice.  Services provided by Simple Wishes of the North Sudbury.
