Rita Crumb (née Tremblay)
December 3rd, 1943 – January 24th, 2024
It is with great sorrow that we announce that Rita Crumb, a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2024, at the age of 80 years in Sudbury, ON.
Rita was a very unique person who faced life’s challenges with strength; we always knew what she was thinking. She loved camping, scrapbooking, gardening and crafting.
In the end she showed great strength and bravery, surrounded by all who loved her.
She was the wife of the late Clarence Crumb, the love of her life.
The eldest daughter of Rodolphe & Alma (née Savard) Tremblay, she was the loving mother to Vincent Hurd (Rachel Ross), Katherine Sanders (Jason), Grant Hurd (Debbie Dempsey) and Vance Hurd (predeceased) (former spouse Tammy Hurd (née Ross))
She will be missed by her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was a cherished sister to Robert (Heather) Tremblay, Paulette (Norman) Thomas, Albert (predeceased) (Linda) Tremblay, Roger(predeceased) (Lorna (predeceased)) Tremblay, Aline (predeceased) Tremblay, Claire (Ralph) Hall and Richard (predeceased) (Tina) Tremblay.
Donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
