CYR, Loretta (née Teahen) - Peacefully passed away with her loving family by her side in Sudbury, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Daughter of the late Harry Teahen and the late Sadie (née Cain) Teahen. Beloved wife of Alfred Cyr for 57 years, they renewed their vows on their 50th anniversary. Loving mother of Lois Ouimette (Claude) of Vermillion Lake, Mark Cyr (Mona) of North Bay, Gwen Cyr (Ray Soutiere) of Sudbury, Elaine Allen (late Mark) of Comox B.C., David Cyr of Azilda and Helen Cyr (Dan Malbeuf) of Edmonton, A.B. Predeceased by her son Alfred Cyr. Dear sister of Helen Doig (Hugh) of Sudbury and Jim Teahen (late Selma) of Ottawa. Dearly loved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Loretta was past president and lifetime member of the Catholic Woman's League. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R R 15, Chelmsford, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 2- 5 and 7-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday May 2, 2012 after 10 a.m. A memorial mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the St-Alexander's Church, Chelmsford. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tenhunen, the nurses and P.S.W.s of the palliative care unit for their care and compassion towards Loretta.
