Sister Anthony Daniel (Mona Teresa Welsh) - It is with great sadness that The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie announce the death of Sister Anthony Daniel on June 15, 2009, at North Bay, Ontario. Predeceased by her guardians, Mr. & Mrs. Leo Forhan, Sister A.D is survived by her brother Paul Forhan and family. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, on August 21, 1927, Sister Anthony Daniel entered The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie in February 1952 and ministered as a teacher, and principal in Fort William, Sturgeon Falls, Garden River, Sault Ste. Marie, Killarney, and Sudbury. Sister Anthony Daniel will be remembered and celebrated as a gifted teacher, musician, and artist. Sister Anthony Daniel's art reflected her deep appreciation of nature, drawing attention to the living beauty, harmony, and unity of all creation in its simplest form. Sister's wonderful works of art will remain with us creating beautiful memories. The body of Sister Anthony Daniel will be received at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 17 in the Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay, Ontario. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 18, in Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Bay. May Sister Anthony Daniel rest in peace.
