"It is with unfathomable bewildering sadness disbelief and pain that we must share the sudden passing of mother grandmother and great grandmother Darlene Marie Dardick.

She was 81 years young.

Cherished daughter of Eric and Beryl Alp (nee Vosper) Darlene was a superhuman magical force as a mother to Sarah Christopher and David partner to Jack and Norman homesteader exceptional artist weaver potter original equality and women's activist conversationalist champion and counsellor of the underdog the lost and the weary and healer of the broken.

Anyone who knows Darlene is aware of who she is and the profound enormity of the loss for so many people but the light love care inspiration and joy Darlene brought to us over the years will remain in our hearts forever.

Our hearts are exploding with Darlene’s infinite love kindness and care. An inspirational blessing to all who she touched loved and transformed.

Open your hearts open your minds celebrate her life and this life and your lives with all your being. Support the people arts music food and culture in your community.

Love each other dearly. That is what Darlene would wish."

There will be no service however an informal celebration of life will take place at Place des Arts Bistro on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 6-8pm.

Darlenes son Christopher will be performing with Sarah Craig and Allan Walsh and the evening will be dedicated to Darlene's memory and love for people food music socializing and celebration.
