D'ATTILIO, Giuliano - In loving memory of Giuliano D'Attilio, 76 years, Saturday, December 1st, 2012 at Health Sciences North. It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The beloved husband of Dolores (Violino) D'Attilio. Loving father of Robert (Mary O'Connor), Paula (Michael Luciw) and Marcia (David Mallette). Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Brady, Gracey, Joseph and Anna. Dear son of Zopito and Anna (Della Porta) D'Attilio, both predeceased. Dear brother of Lucia (predeceased) (Guido Presenza) and brother in law of Lenore (Mario Zuliani), Reggie Violino (Donna) and ViviAnne (John Kowalski). He is sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Giuliano was an active member of the Caruso Club, its choir and the Fogolar Furlan Club where he often volunteered many hours helping cook. His joys were his garden and making food and wine that was always enjoyed at family gatherings. A generous and hardworking individual, he had many talents and was always willing to share his knowledge and time with others. Music was a big part of his life and he was always singing and humming. Born in Casalbordino, Abruzzo, Italy, he worked in Rome and Strasbourg, France then came to Canada in January of 1960. He was a talented mechanic and worked for Northland Trucks and Nickel City International. He loved getting together with family and friends and he was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren that he was so proud of. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cano and staff at the Cancer Treatment Centre and also the staff of the 6th Floor of the Health Sciences North, South Tower for their care and compassion. At Giuliano's request, there will be no visitation.
