DEL VECCHIO, Evelina - 87, of Espanola, passed away peacefully at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury on August 26th, 2010. Evelina arrived from Pesaro, Italy, with her two older sons to join her husband, Luigi, from Cinottiville to St. Catherines and finally to Espanola. They settled and added to their family. Vela cherished being a mother to her children and moreso, a Nonna to her grandchildren. Each had a special place in her heart and an individual favorite meal from her repertoire of homemade Italian recipes. She was a loving wife to her husband, Luigi (pre-deceased), a caring mother to Ettore (Janice) of Egmondville, Gilberto of Toronto, Franco (Debbie) of Espanola, Maria (pre-deceased), Marina McGregor (Russ) of Sudbury and Luigi, Jr. (Betty) of Massey. Wonderful Nona to Leslie Cassidy (Wayne) of Sudbury, Karen of Egmondville, Jennifer Malton (Jon) of Toronto,, Michael of Egmondville, Devon & Allison of Espanola, Cassandra (pre- deceased) & Joshua of Sudbury, Maria (James) of Sudbury, Jessica (Brett) of Espanola & Alexandra of Espanola. Bisnonna to Sidney & Avery Cassidy of Sudbury and Alison Malton of Toronto. She loved her pre-deceased siblings, Gina Annibalini, Teresa Rondina, Giacinto, Venerino, Antonio, Remo Annibalini. Other surviving siblings will truly miss her. Della Oliva (Gino), Irene Giavoli (Mario), Marino Annibalini (Eva), Gino Annibalini (Egle), Romalo Annibalini (Anna), as well as several nieces and nephews. A deep heartfelt thank you to all the staff of the Ramsey wing of Pioneer Manor who gave “Nonna“ the best care possible. Visitation will take place at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola on Friday, August 27th from 2 pm - 4 pm and from 7 pm - 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Jude Church, Espanola on Saturday, August 28th at 1 pm. Interment of ashes in the Espanola Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice
