In Loving Memory of Michael Leo Dermody born July 1 1959, a proud Nova Scotian, passed away April 10 2024, joining his beloved parents, Patrick and Donna Dermody, in eternal rest. He was a cherished sibling to Patricia (Guy), Paul (Brenda), Susan (Brian-Predeceased), Darlene (Ron), Wanda (Predeceased), and Donna (Steph).

Michael found immense joy in being a father to John, Eric, and Dylan, and revealed in the role of a cherished grandfather to Landon, Liam, and Aria. He was a beacon of love and guidance as a great uncle/uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Known for his warm heart and infectious laughter, Michael forged lasting bonds with close friends and family from down south, including Linda Gormley, who will deeply miss his presence.

His life was colored by adventure and passion. As a diamond driller from the tender age of 18, he explored the depths of the earth with determination. Michael's love for travel took him far and wide, with the wind in his hair as he rode his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycles.

A devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he cheered on his team with unwavering loyalty. Yet, amidst all his adventures and passions, Michael's greatest joy was found in the company of his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever live on in their hearts.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice for their compassionate care during Michael's final days. His Beautiful niece Ashley Browlee will be waiting at the pearly white gates to welcome him.

Though he may be gone from our sight, Michael's spirit will forever linger in the laughter of his loved ones and the memories they shared. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

His Beautiful niece Ashley Browlee will be waiting at the pearly white gates to welcome him.
