DESORMEAUX, Jeannine Marie Claire (née Myre) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday morning, February 16, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years. Daughter of the late Mathias and Claudia (née Brunet) Myre. Wife of the late Sylvio Desormeaux. Beloved mother of Joyce Price (Tom) of Whitefish, Lorraine O'Brien (Kevin) and Gilles Desormeaux (Elsa) both of Sudbury, Pierre Desormeaux (Masebedu) of Lesoto Africa and Marcel Desormeaux (Anna) of Ottawa. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers: Sister Marguerite , s.c.o. , Rita, Leona, Therese, Leo, Pierrette, Marcel, Raymond , Jean-Marie . Sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren and her 8 great- grandchildren. Jeannine, a retired teacher from “Collège Sacré Coeur“, will be remembered having enjoyed being an active member in her community and in the years, acquired a wide circle of friends who will all miss her dearly. She was a member of the Lockerby Women Auxiliary, Branch 564 and member of Club 111 of St- Andrew's Senior Citizen Group and a V.O.N. volunteer at Day Care Centre. In keeping with Jeannine's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in the COOPERATIVE Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Arthritis Society or the VON Adult Daycare Centre, Sudbury would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
