DESVAUX, Andre - In Loving Memory of Andre Desvaux, 83 years, who passed away Friday November 4th, 2011, at the Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Survived by his Beloved wife Margaret (nee Habasinski) of 53 years. Loving father of Denise Ruff (husband Michael). Devoted grandfather of Jeff and Katelyn. Dear brother of Jacques (wife Monique predeceased), Michel predeceased (wife Guylaine predeceased), Yves predeceased (wife Christianne predeceased), Annick Goasdoue (husband Gilles), Philippe predeceased (wife Nicole), Bernard (wife Marie-Therese) and Alain predeceased (wife Bernadette) all of France. Son of the late George and Marie Antoinette (nee Thery). Greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in France, Toronto and Kitchener. Andre came to Canada in 1952, fell in love with the country and never left. Several years later he fell in love again, with Margaret and they have been together ever since. He was employed by Canadian Gypsum Company for 34 years becoming a senior executive. He traveled the world for both work & pleasure. He loved to sail and race his sail boat on Lake Ontario. When he retired, they moved to Lake Penage to be near their only daughter and grandchildren. Andre was an avid outdoorsmen who loved to hunt and fish and cherished time with his family. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 at St. Patrick's Church, 39 Walford Road, Sudbury at 10 am. Christian burial at civic memorial Cemetery, 365 Second Avenue, Sudbury, following the funeral mass.
