Helen Luke (Stalker) Dinan

February 18, 1931 – July 23, 2021

Helen Luke (Stalker) Dinan passed away in her 91st year at Health Science North peacefully following a short illness. The daughter of Scottish immigrants to Canada, John and Flora (McConachie) Stalker, Helen was born in Toronto in 1931 and moved to Sudbury in 1942 where she later met the love of her life and husband of 60 years Patrick (Pat, predeceased) Dinan. Helen and Pat were among the first families to move to Lively in 1952 and had two children Lorna (Wright, predeceased) and Kirk (Orillia). Helen lived in Lively for over 70 years and was an active member of the community and Trinity United Church. Lake Penage was a special place for Helen, where she spent over 60 years at the Dinan family cottage with her family including many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Helen’s family was most important to her. She is survived by her loving Grandchildren: Patricia Wright (Lively), Andrea Dinan Steencamp (Riaan, Toronto), Brandon Dinan (Petawawa), Luke Dinan (Cochrane), Kory Dawn Dinan (Barrie) and Great-grandson, Rayden Dinan Steenkemp (Toronto), who will all miss her dearly. A special thanks to ICAN and Health Science North for the outstanding care they provided. Cremation and internment will be at a later date in the Walden Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
