DINES, Caroline “Carol“ (Prokopetz) - In Loving Memory of Caroline “Carol“ (Prokopetz) Dines, 91 years, Sunday, May 12th, 2013 at the Guelph General Hospital. Beloved wife of Andrew “Andy“ Dines predeceased August 29th, 2007. Loving mother of Barbara of Guelph, predeceased in 1953 by Gregory. Survived by her two sisters, Rose Kostelac (husband Joseph) of Vancouver, Washington, Doris Baby of Sudbury, Ontario and her faithful canine companion Tiny. Predeceased by her one sister Marie Pospishell and four brothers, George (Dixie), John, Clifford and Eugene. Sister-in-law to Walter Dines, Olga Tokaryk, Annie Currie and Orest “Archie“ Dines all predeceased. Known and loved by her many nieces and nephews as Auntie Carol. Carol was born in Caulder, Saskatchewan in February of 1922 to George Prokopetz and Elizabeth Gelchuk. She married Andy in Capreol, in 1942. For the majority of Carol's life, her role was that of domestic engineer. A role at which she excelled. However, when she ventured out in to the work place she was a force to be reckoned with. After Andy's retirement from Inco, they were able to spend 30+ winters in Florida and subsequent summers at the French River where they entertained family and friends in true “Dines“ style. She was a presence. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Funeral Service in the R. J.
