In loving memory of Christopher Alan Dixon, who passed peacefully on April 8th at 75 years young. Loving father to Kelly (Greg), Bryan (Juli) and Corey (Brittany). Fun loving grandfather to Liam & Ella. Sadly missed by nephew, “best buddy” and the other half of the “murphy brothers” Duff (Jane & Alex), brother Rod and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Chris was a proud Sudburian and an advocate of Northern Ontario. He had a love of nature and enjoyed many years with family and friends at our beloved “camp” on Tobacco Lake.

Chris was a supporter of the Sudbury Theatre Center, Cinefest, and many other arts and culture initiatives in the Sudbury area. He was a fabulous cook, a lover of food, music, theatre, film, was an avid skier and loved travelling. Before retirement, Chris worked for over 30 years at INCO. Several of his coworkers became close friends and they shared many fun times hunting and fishing at Schist Lake. Chris will always be remembered as a loving father, friend and all around fun guy with a zest for life.

Dad, you will be dearly missed, but your smile, laughter, funny stories, support and love will never be forgotten.

The family would like to thank Chris’ friend Carl Ellsworth for his support and friendship.  Special thanks to all the staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice for your care and compassion throughout this journey.

Close family and friends are invited to a celebration of Chris’s life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you make a donation to Maison McCulloch Hospice in memory of Chris.
