DUBOIS, Carole Daune (nee Ellstrom) - In Loving Memory of Carole Daune Dubois (nee: Ellstrom), December 23, 1937 - September 27, 2012. Cherished wife of Sam Dubois (Predeceased). Dear mother of Marc (Monique Gauthier), Liane (Dan Wunsch), and David (Barb Hyslop). Adored Grandmother of Megan Wunsch, Kyle & Joshua Dubois, Nicole, Erica & Mitchell Dubois. Dear sister of Velma (Peter) Belan, Donna (Bob predeceased) Wallgren, & John (Barbara) Ellstrom of Orangeville. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Carole was the daughter of Mary (Curry) and Allan Ellstrom (both predeceased). Carole adored her grandchildren and was very proud of being a cool grandma. She loved both her actual grandchildren, her borrowed grandchildren and all their four legged friends. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and liked to show an interest in everything they were involved with, whether it was hockey, dance, or video games. Her most cherished memories are those spent with family and friends, both at home and at the family camp in Gogama. She shared Sam's love of hockey and kept up his Sudbury Wolves season's tickets. She was a gifted knitter, seamstress and was not intimidated by any different crafts. Carole worked at the Crown Attorney's Office for many years retiring in early 1990's. She loved spending time with her many treasured friends. Her door was always open, her ear was ready to listen, and the teapot was always waiting. She always wanted to make sure the pot was empty at the end of your visit. Carole passed away peacefully after a lengthy and hard fought battle with cancer, at the Maison Vale Hospice. She never let the cancer define her, she fought it with grace and dignity to the end. She is now at peace and has been reunited with Sam, the love of her life. She will be missed. . . Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury (Friends may call 2-4; 7-9 p.m. Sunday) Funeral Service in St. Andrew's United Church, 111 Larch St., Sudbury, Monday, October 1st, 2012 at 11 a.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation, St. Andrew's United Church or Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
