DUENK, Johannes “John“ - The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, Monday, April 9, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Son of the late Wilhelmus Theodorus and the late Maria Johanna (nee Jansen) Duenk. Predeceased in 2010 by his wife Caroline Duenk (nee Tiemessen). Beloved father of Frank Duenk (Sandra) of Chelmsford and Stephen Duenk (Garilynn) of Red Lake. Dear brother of Leo, William, Agnes, Theo, Joseph, Williamine and Marie. Predeceased by his brothers Antone and Frank. Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Stephanie), Kattie, Ami (Chris), Kala (Tim), Zack and great-grandfather of Hailey, Leah and Holden. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. John will be remembered for having been a proud veteran. He served with the Dutch army, December7th division and served in Indonesia from 1946 to 1951. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691, R R 15, CHELMSFORD, Wednesday evening from 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Chelmsford. Donations (by cheque only) to the Parkinson Society would be greatly appreciated.
