DUMONT, Thomas Edwin - In loving memory of Thomas Edwin Dumont, 90 years, Wednesday, April 6th, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Gladys (McLaughlin) Dumont predeceased 1996. Loving father of Annie Berger, Lynda (Giles Roque), Tom (Marlene), Patsy Depatie, David (Jane), Eddy (Elgin Wilson), George (Cathy) and Gloria Leclair predeceased 1970. Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear son of Octave and Mary Jane (Bennett) Dumont predeceased. Dear brother of 11 brothers and sisters all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Thomas was born in Carling Township (Parry Sound District). He married Gladys (McLaughlin) in 1940 in Parry Sound. He has lived in the Sudbury area for over 40 years. He had worked at CIL for 26 years, retiring in 1982. Tom was a proud Canadian having served in the Canadian Artillery during WWII overseas. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #76 Sudbury. He will be remembered for his inspired work ethic and being a keen crib player. Tom was devoted to his loving family. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Friday, April 8th, 2011 at 11:30am. Interment in the Civic Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 7:30pm Thursday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #76 Sudbury. Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #76 Poppy Fund or the Salvation Army would be appreciated. (Friends may call 7-9pm Thursday and after 10:30am Friday.)
