DUMONT, Yolande (née Piette) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Daughter of the late Grégoire and of the late Bernadette (née Roy) Piette. Wife of the late Émilien Dumont. Beloved mother of Robert Dumont (Christina) and Michelle Ferreira (José) both of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brothers Bill (late Eva), Guy, Onésime “Nezz“ (late Evy) and her sister Audrey (late Bert Séguin). Precious grandmother of Matthew, Meagan, Kayla, Andrew, Danika and Victoria. Predeceased by her granddaughter Elizabeth. Lovingly remembered by her extended family Robert and Tracey Temelini and Mrs. Markham. Sadly missed by her feline friend “Tommy D“ and his cousins “Tinker“ and “Bella“. Mrs. Dumont worked in the medical field for many years with various doctors. She was a dedicated and loyal employee and assisted all of their patients with kindness. Her first love was her family and she lived for her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Yolande will be remembered for having been a very generous, fun loving, selfless person who put everyone's needs ahead of her own, always optimistic and positive. Even in the last few years with her health struggles, she kept strong till the end. The family expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the nephrology staff for the exceptional care given to mom. A very special thank you to Dr. Goluch, Dr. MacDonald, Dr. Nistico and Dr. Fay for their kind and compassionate care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre- Dame), Sudbury, Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., in L'Annonciation Church, Sudbury.
