April 12, 2013 75

DUNN, Lois Evelyn (Cramm) - Our family celebrates the life of our mother Lois Dunn who has gone to spirit. Lois was born in Noranda, Quebec on April 6th, 1938 and migrated to Ontario in the 1960s to teach at Creighton Mine Public School; she was a lifelong northerner and resided in Lively for most of these years. Lois was a proud and devoted mother, a respected teacher, and a passionate nature artist who was particularly energized by nature's earthy and wilder qualities. She enjoyed spending summers on Long Lake and Manitoulin Island with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her creativity, her generosity, her intellect and being young at heart. She was predeceased by her husband John, and she is lovingly remembered by her children Laurie (Kemeny), Michael and Joseph, as well as her grandchildren (Calantha, Aisha, Gabriel, Molly, Ruby), her sister Beverley, brother Roger (Gaby) as well as by many nieces and nephews. No public service will be held at her request. A donation in her honour will be made to the Walden Art Club's emerging artist award and Wild at Heart Wildlife Refuge Centre; contributions to this can be sent (cheque only) to: Laurie Dunn, PO Box 4243, Lively Ontario Canada P3Y 1M7
